Cathy Earnest's newest play, THE ARK, was read at Chicago Dramatists in 2023 as completion of her MA in Playwriting from Wilkes University.  Her play ANOTHER BONE was a finalist at both the O'Neill (2013) and The Ashland New Play Festival (2014) and went on to a production at Chicago's Redtwist Theatre.  Her short play "Disappearing" won Take Ten Festival in NYC.  She has been a resident at the Millay Colony and Byrdcliffe.  She taught Writing at the University of Illinois and DePaul University and has Master degree in fiction from the Writer’s Program at the University of Illinois Writers.  She is currently a candidate for the MFA in playwriting at Wilkes University.  She lives in Chicago, is active with Chicago Dramatists in Chicago, and is currently on their Board of Directors.
